SPRING TRIPS ANNOUNCED

Forty eight trips have been planned for the Spring season.  There is something for everyone!Be sure to read the Introduction preceding the Trip Descriptions for a fast overview.

 

Many thanks are extended to the Trip Planners, Trip Leaders and Trip Coordinators, all volunteers, whose work makes this program possible.

 

Now is the time to select the trips you would like to take.  The links below will enable you to learn about the Trips, review the Sign-up Form Directions and Trip Procedures and print the Sign-up Form.

 

Remember that the SINHG Membership year is from May 1st though June 30th.  If you have not joined for the Fall Season you must do so now to sign-up for Spring Trips.  Please include your Membership Form (Link below) and your check with your Trip Sign-up Form.

SOUP SUPPER

It is never too early to mark your calendar to SAVE THE DATE for the Annual Soup Supper that will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018.  Start planning what you will bring and consider entering the Annual Soup Throwdown where a prize of inestimable value will be awarded.

 

 

NEW MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

Cindy Siegel has stepped up to the plate and taken over membership duties from longtime membership coordinator Dave Osborn. After a varied career in education from college administration to math teacher, Cindy and Rich (who is our Nature Trail coordinator) moved on retirement to Seabrook from southwest New York State to be closer to family and to enjoy the benefits of island life. Thanks for pitching in, Cindy!

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

On May 5, 2017, the members of the Seabrook Island Natural History Group held their annual meeting where members of the Board were elected.  New Board members elected were Lynn Baker who will serve as co-chair of trip planning, Norm Powers will assume responsibility for communications, and Rich Siegel will take over trails.

Directors elected for an additional term are Julia Thogmartin, Vice President and Trip Coordinator; Marsha Bird, Evening Programs Co-Chair; and David Osborn, Membership.
